Whereas between March 28 and April 3rd, nearly 30% of Covid tests from London's N6A postal code came back as positive, making it the highest in the province;
Whereas the N6A postal code includes Old North, many small businesses in the downtown core, and student residences at Western University, and other vulnerable Londoners;
Whereas increased vaccination rates, mobile units to distribute the vaccine, and enhanced testing and contact tracing are essential to stop Covid from spreading elsewhere in the community;
Therefore we the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, to call upon the government to declare London's N6A postal code a provincial hot spot and to deliver more vaccines to London, implement mobile vaccination units, and increase funding for testing and contact tracing.
