Kernaghan to volunteer for dinner service with Ark Aid

Published on September 27, 2022

LONDON – MPP Terence Kernaghan (London North Centre) will be available for questions Tuesday afternoon before volunteering for dinner service with Ark Aid and First Baptist Church. He will be discussing the importance of advocating for and respecting the unhoused population, and funding organizations that help.

Kernaghan is calling on the provincial government to immediately release $20 million in emergency funds to London’s homelessness prevention system, including shelters, as well as mental health care and harm reduction providers for vital wrap-around supports. Additionally (and urgently), the province must work collaboratively with city officials to create and fund affordable and supportive housing for people in crisis and ensure they remain housed with the supports they require.
