Stiles’ Official Opposition to keep fighting for affordable housing after government says NO

Published on October 25, 2023

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Leader of the Official Opposition, released the following statement after government members voted down a plan to build 250,000 affordable and non-market homes over the next ten years:

“With a housing crisis of this scale, we have to find big solutions that can help people find a home they love in the community they want to live in,” said Stiles. “When Ford voted no today, he just proved again that he’s not interested in showing the leadership we need to get us out of this mess.

We're here to get the province back in the business of building housing – and we’re not going to stop here.

We’re just getting started.”
